WE ARE ALL EQUAL BEFORE GOD

WE ARE ALL EQUAL BEFORE GOD

WE ARE ALL EQUAL BEFORE GOD

On a plane covering a flight between Johannesburg and London, a white lady in her fifties was seated next to a colored man. She called the stewardess to complain:

-What is the problem ma’am? the stewardess asks.

-But don’t you see? -replies the lady. -He has placed me next to a black man. I can not stay next to these “filthy”. Give me another seat.

“Please calm down,” the stewardess says. -Almost all the seats on this flight are occupied. I’m going to see if there’s a seat in business or first class.

The stewardess left and returned after a few minutes.

-Ma’am -explains the stewardess- as I suspected, there are no seats available in economy class. I have spoken with the captain and he has confirmed that there are no seats in business class either. But we do have a place in first class.

Before the lady could answer anything, the stewardess continued:

-It is totally unusual that the company grants a first class seat to someone who is in economy, but given the circumstances, the captain has considered that it would be scandalous that someone is forced to sit next to a person who makes us feel bad.. .

The lady, with a satisfied face, prepared to leave her seat and go to occupy the seat in business class… In that, the stewardess looks at the person of color and says:

-If you would do me the favor of taking your belongings, the first class seat is already prepared.

And all the passengers around, who accompanied the scene, stood up and applauded the attitude of the company.

“We are all equal in the eyes of God”
