– In a documentary, shared this Monday (19), which shows the convincing stories of three women, who, in the past, identified as transgenderand reveals, as this transition from woman to man, did not resolve her gender dysphoria issuesbut it only made them worse.
In the documentary, Helena Kerschner, Grace Lidinsky Smith, and Cat Cattinsonn share that they believed their mental and emotional problems, would be resolved, with the transition to the opposite sexreports The Epoch Times.
“I was introduced to a belief system, that if you don’t fit in, then it’s a sign that you’re trans. If you don’t like your body, then it’s a sign that you’re trans, and if you transition, all these problems will be fixed,” said Kerschner, a detransitioner featured in the documentary.
“I was saying things like, ‘oh I think I’m going to be happier after the transition, like I’m really depressed now, and suicidal, but it’s going to be so much better, after the transition,'” she added.
On the documentary’s Vimeo page, he describes what happened to these girls below: “Each one changed their names, their hair, their pronounsthinking that this would help them, and relieve them of their coercion and suicidal ideation”.
The three women shared that, at some point, they regretted the transition, and that the physical changes to their bodies only exacerbated their feelings of suicide, depression, and anxiety.
Breaking point
Kerschner said that one day he finally reached his breaking point. “Finally he hit me like, “My God, this was all a mistake.” said.
Lidinsky-Smith and Cattinson say they both had similar experiences, and that the path to healing included self-acceptance.
“It became important to just accept myself as myself,” explains Lidinsky Smith.
The three women are now, outspoken advocates of her detransitionThey feel that trusting adults pushed them too quickly into making the decision.
