🙏 Prayer Psalm 9 – God remembers, Man forgets (Explanation)

I will praise you, O Lord, with all my heart;
I will tell all your wonders.

I will be glad and rejoice in you;
I will sing to your name, O Most High.

When my enemies fall back,
they will fall and perish before you.

Because you have upheld my judgment and my cause;
You have sat on the throne judging righteously.

You rebuked the nations, you destroyed the wicked,
you erased their name forever and ever.

The enemy has come to an end in eternal desolation;
and you overthrew their cities,
and their memory perished with them.

But Jehovah will remain forever;
He has prepared his throne for judgment.

And he will judge the world with justice;
He will judge the peoples with equity.

And the Lord will be a refuge for the oppressed,
shelter for times of trouble.

And in you those who know your name will trust;
for you, O Lord, will not forsake those who seek you.

Sing praises to the Lord, who dwells in Zion;
proclaim his deeds among the peoples.

Because he who asks for blood accounts remembers them;
he does not forget the cry of the afflicted.

Have mercy on me, O Lord;
look at my affliction inflicted on me by those who hate me;
you, who lift me from the gates of death,

so that I recount all your praises
at the gates of the daughter of Zion,
and rejoice in your salvation.

The nations sank in the pit they made;
his foot was caught in the net they hid.

Jehovah has made himself known by the judgment he renders;
in the work of his hands the wicked is bound. Higaion. Selah

The wicked will be transferred to Sheol,
all the nations that forget God.

Because the needy will not be forgotten forever,
nor will the hope of the poor perish forever.

Arise, O Jehovah; do not prevail man;
the nations are judged before you.

Strike fear in them, O Lord;
Let the nations know that they are but men. Selah
