The prayer of parents allows us to give thanks and entrust our children to our Heavenly Father. We can also pray more specifically for the mothers of familiesespecially during the Mother’s day. Giving their lives, they also give their lives to their children. It is a magnificent mission, exhilarating and exhausting; with great joy and sometimes great suffering. The Virgin Mary shows us how motherhood is a path of holiness. Let us pray to her to guide us in our role as mothers!

Prayer for all mothers
” Loving father:
We thank you for our mothers whom you have entrusted with the precious care of human life from its beginning in the womb.
You have given women the ability to participate with you in the creation of new life.
May each woman come to understand the full meaning of this blessing, which gives unlimited capacity for selfless love to all children.
See every mother who is expecting a child, strengthen her faith in your fatherly care and love for her and her baby. Give him courage in times of fear or pain, understanding in times of uncertainty and doubt, and hope in times of trouble.
Grant him joy at the birth of his son. Bless the mothers to whom you have given the great privilege and responsibility of being a child’s first teacher and spiritual guide.
Grant that all of them can worthily foster the faith of their children, following the example of Mary, Elizabeth, and other holy women who follow Christ.
Help mothers to grow daily in the knowledge and understanding of your Son, our Lord Jesus Christ, and grant them the wisdom to faithfully spread this knowledge to their children and all who depend on them.
Help all “spiritual mothers”, who, although they cannot have children of their own, selflessly, nevertheless, care for the children of others of any age and state of life.
May they know the joy of fulfilling this maternal calling of women, whether in teaching, nursing, religious life, or in other work that recognizes and promotes the true dignity of every human being created in their image and likeness.
We ask that you send the Holy Spirit, the comforter, to the mothers of children who have died, are sick or separated from their families, or who are in danger or trouble of any kind.
Help mothers in mourning to trust in your mercy and the paternal offering of love for all their children. We ask your blessing on all those to whom you have entrusted motherhood.
May your Holy Spirit constantly inspire and strengthen them. May they never cease to follow the example of Mary, mother of our Lord, and to imitate her fidelity, her humility and her self-sacrificing love.
May mothers receive your grace abundantly in this earthly life and long to partake of the eternal joy of your presence in the life to come.
We ask this through our Lord Jesus Christ, who lives and reigns with you and the Holy Spirit, one God, world without end.
